Quilting: Monday, (Activity Room 2) 9:00 AM – is the process of sewing of two or more layers of fabric to make a thicker padded material, usually to create a quilt or quilted garment.

“W.W.W.W.,” which stands for Wacky Wednesday Wonder Women, has returned! This group of women will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1– 4 pm in our card room. This is a hand-sewing group meeting to socialize with one another and work on individual sewing projects. What a perfect opportunity if you enjoy sewing and would like to get together with a group who shares your passion, this will be the place. All are welcome, so come and join the W.W.W.W group for some C.C.C.C. (Cross Stitch, Conversation, Comradery, and Coffee) starting on Wednesday, July 19th at 1:00 pm. Founded in 1993, the Monroe County Quilt Guild is a local civic organization located in Monroe County, Michigan. Their purpose is to promote the preservation of traditional quilting and the development of contemporary quilting. To preserve the history and legacy of quilts for future generations. To provide, through charitable organizations, handmade quilts for those who need encouragement and comfort during difficult times.

Happy Hookers: Wednesday, (Craft Room) – 1:00 PM Don’t let the name fool you, this is a dedicated group who knits. Knitting is the name of the craft that involves two needles and yarn or thread. Loops in the yarn are manipulated with the needles to make a knitted fabric. This class makes a variety of projects from hats and gloves to scarfs and blankets. This class is open to individuals of all expert levels.
Many afghans, hats, scarfs, and mittens were delivered throughout the county to various agencies. These ladies put in many hours throughout the year creating these hand made gifts. THANK YOU!!!!!
